This is not a way to guess a password. If the password is wrong, the file stays locked and the page says so. Only use files you are allowed to open.

The saved file has the encryption removed. Anyone who gets that copy can read it. Keep the locked original if you still need a protected version, and do not email the open copy to a wide list. Open the download once to confirm the pages look the same before you discard the locked original file on disk.
