Fill PDF Forms

Runs in your browser

Use this page to fill PDF form fields that already exist, tick boxes and stamp a date. You can fill out PDF online in this tab, then flatten the answers if you want them locked in.

How to use Fill PDF Forms

1
Choose one PDF
2
Type into each field where it sits on the page
Tab moves through the fields in the order the file set out. Tick boxes and pick from lists the same way.
3
For a paper-style form with no real fields, choose Tick, Cross, Dot or Date, then click the page
Each click places another mark until you press Esc. Drag a mark to move it, or use the corner to resize. Marks are about ten points across, in black or blue, drawn as lines rather than font ticks.
4
Optionally flatten the form so the answers become part of the page and cannot be edited later
5
Click Fill form and download
The download is named with -filled on the end.

Answers stay in this tab. Start over clears them. A locked PDF has to be unlocked first. Typed values are never sent anywhere and are never written to the log.

If an answer uses characters Helvetica cannot draw, leave flattening off so a PDF reader can still show them. Flattening with those characters is refused rather than drawing boxes.

Questions people ask

This page fills a form that already has fields. It does not create new ones. Open Edit PDF, choose Form fields, and add the boxes you need. You can type the answers there, or return here to fill the finished form.
