How to use Crop PDF

1
Choose one PDF
2
Drag the edges and corners of the rectangle on the preview, or type the margins in inches or millimeters
Top, right, bottom and left are the strips you cut away.
3
Apply the same crop to every page, or only the page you are looking at
Use the arrows to move between pages.
4
Click Crop PDF and download
The download is named with -cropped on the end.

The saved file sets both the crop box and the media box, so a reader and a printer show the same cut. This does not redraw pictures or type. It changes which rectangle of each page is the page. A viewer that honors those boxes will hide the rest.

Reset puts the rectangle back to the full page if you want to start the cut again. A crop smaller than 20 by 20 millimeters is refused so the file does not become a sliver that will not open usefully. Keep the original until you have opened the new file and checked a couple of pages.

Questions people ask

Most common readers hide anything outside the crop box. This tool also shrinks the media box so print should match the screen. An editor that ignores those boxes could still show the old edges.
